WHAT DOES A SECURITY DOOR LOOK LIKE? AN IN DEPTH LOOK AT ITS COMPOSITION AND FRAME.
Attention to every detail makes a difference, in terms of aesthetics and security. Each Dierre product has its own personal style.
What distinguishes a Dierre security door from all the others? What does an armored door look like? Let’s consider all the elements that it is made up of: subframe, frame, sash, hinges, deadbolts, and locks, each contributing a key role in creating a solid structure.
What is behind a security door?
The counterframe
It is the structure fixed in the wall to accommodate the door, becoming one with the wall. It is basically the connection point between the wall and the frame.
The frame
It is the supporting element of the modern door, and it is also a design element, as it can also be two-tone and match the interior and exterior finishes of the home. It is made of steel and is reinforced at those points that are most accessible to burglars. It ensures the union between the door leaf and the counterframe.
The hinges
They connect the sash to the frame and provide the support and pivot point for the sash. They can be concealed, that is, hidden to create a rasomuro effect, or standard one. They allow different degrees of opening, up to 180 degrees of handle clearance. Along the side of the hinges are Shild rostrums; these fit into corresponding recesses on the frame to prevent unhinging.
Locks
Locks consist of the cylinder that generates the opening and closing movement, and the defense component. There is also the double bit lock, which, however, does not require additional elements.
Coatings
They are the elements that personalize your door, made in different colors and materials allow you to give more character to your home because you can choose them according to your preferences. There are two panels: interior and exterior. The choice of the outer one also depends on its exposure to the weather and must be coordinated with the color and finishings established by the condominium.
The Fast-Grip Panel Stop Frames
Dierre has patented a Fast-Grip security system, which allows panel stop frames to be assembled and disassembled in very few steps. These new frames have a wooden surface and an interior with innovative, flexible, high-strength materials.
The fairing
It is a sash edge frame on all four sides made of steel, in two versions: bracketed and standard. Defender is a protection for the cylinder that exists both in the standard version and in the more advanced version, which is more secure and performs better. In addition, Dierre allows you to integrate some optional extras that offer even more security.
Open View
It allows the door to be partially opened and locked without the field of view being obstructed by the traditional safety arm. In fact, the device is placed at the top of the frame and allows an unobstructed view.
Fixed floor threshold
It further protects the door from water infiltration and drafts.
No Slam
It is a device to control and guide the opening and closing of the door. The door then stops at certain positions, namely at a 30°, 60° and 90° opening. This prevents drafts or drafts of wind from causing unintentional closing.
What differentiates Dierre doors?
Dierre doors can be customized, as every detail is designed and made in-house, including locks and cylinders. This makes it possible to meet all requirements in terms of both finish and security and energy savings. Dierre’s shell is made of two galvanized steel plates, which reduce the possibility of corrosion; it has a steel core made even stronger by vertical reinforcements. To prevent unhinging, when the door is closed fixed, rostrums fit into the frame, making it more secure. Inside the shell, in the case of thermal and acoustic performance doors, there are also insulation panels that give good thermal and acoustic insulation. In addition, there is a flush-mounted cold-shielding foil that protects against drafts and beams of light.
The Sentry Door
It is the ideal solution for those who do not want to give up a traditional closure. In the Synergy-In version, it also allows for 45 Db sound reduction, 1.4 W/m2K thermal transmittance, and up to EI2 90 fire resistance. The cylinder lock is equipped with the Lock Blocking System that makes it even stronger. Sentry 1 and Sentry 4 include the high-security New Power cylinder, which is protected by a tear-resistant bushing. The Lock Blocking System is the synthesis of technology, quality, and innovation. It allows the lock to lock should an attempt be made to tear the cylinder by a destructive technique involving the forced removal of the defender.
