Dierre: A Successful Global Market
Entering the global market
Dierre has pursued an ambitious internationalization path in recent years, establishing itself as a major player in the global door and accessories market. With a steadfast commitment to innovation and quality, the company has expanded its reach to over 5,000 dealers worldwide. This extensive global network highlights its commercial success and adaptability to the diverse demands of international markets. Dierre’s ambition to lead the industry has driven its expansion into strategic markets like France, Spain, and Portugal, further cementing its position as a sector leader.
Optimizing European Production
Strategic investments
Dierre’s global expansion extends beyond sales growth; the company has strategically invested in production facilities and foreign subsidiaries to provide efficient, timely customer service. Notably, the opening of a plant in Portugal marks a significant step toward local, competitive production, enhancing its ability to meet the demands of European markets.
With 150 salespeople across various countries, Dierre maintains direct contact with partners, providing personalized support to each dealer. Backed by a global workforce of 860 employees, Dierre continues to invest in the talent and expertise of its team, a crucial element of its success, solidifying its position as a global industry leader.
Adapting to International Markets
Autonomy and Synergy
Managing foreign offices presents a challenge that demands continuous effort and a deep understanding of cultural and operational diversity. Rui Carreira, CEO of Dierre for Poland, Portugal, and Spain, and Alessandro Pilotto, CEO of Dierre France, stress the importance of a strategy that balances management autonomy with synergies from headquarters.
According to the leaders, running a foreign subsidiary means “thinking globally and acting locally,” which allows for effective integration in different countries by adapting the company and its products to the specific needs of each market. Carreira emphasizes, “It’s essential to maintain the skills to compete with international and local competitors. Each market has its realities and cultures, requiring great adaptability.” Pilotto adds that this approach enables Dierre to fine-tune its strategies based on local market demands: “We have many synergies with the parent company, from product customization to aligning marketing objectives.”

Certifications for Enhanced Competitiveness
AEO Certification
Dierre has implemented more efficient product delivery procedures to enhance its growth and internationalization efforts, especially for non-European countries that face stricter regulations. “Since 2020, the company has obtained the ‘Approved Location’ authorization,” explains Davide Gugelmo, Head of the Foreign Office and Customs Compliance Manager. “This allows products to be cleared directly at our headquarters, effectively transforming it into a ‘customs branch.’” This strategy ensures inspections are conducted before goods depart, guaranteeing specific delivery timelines. Additionally, Dierre has secured “Authorized Exporter” status, which expedites customs operations and permits exports at reduced duties to countries with which the EU has trade agreements. In May 2022, the company achieved certification as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), recognizing its reliability under European regulations. This status significantly reduces incoming and outgoing controls, particularly for exports to the United States, China, Japan, and Switzerland. Being the first to receive this certification in Italy marks a significant milestone for Dierre, strengthening its competitive edge in the international market against major global players.
Commitment to Continued Innovation
Dierre’s Future
Dierre’s internationalization is an inspiring example of how a company can evolve and thrive in a constantly changing global landscape. With a steadfast commitment to innovation, a robust dealer network, and a strategic manufacturing footprint, Dierre is well-equipped to tackle future challenges and remain an industry leader. The outlook is bright, with numerous opportunities for growth and a customer-centric approach at the heart of its strategies. With a clear vision and meticulous management, Dierre is poised to write new chapters in its global success story.
