The Creative Journey of Dierre and CasaFacile at Milan Design Week
Milan Design Week 2024: Crafting the Perfect Style for Your Home
In the world of furniture and design, every detail matters. From the sleek lines of furnishings to the subtle color accents, each choice shapes the style and ambiance of a home. But what could be more essential than the structural elements defining these spaces? Join us in this new article as we explore.
Dierre Porte and CasaFacile Join Forces for an Interactive Workshop at Fuorisalone 2024
At Fuorisalone during Milan Design Week 2024, Dierre Porte and CasaFacile delivered a one-of-a-kind experience: an exclusive workshop that turned the iconic Pirellone into a hub of inspiration and creativity.
Led by architect Nicoletta Carbotti, participants embarked on a journey through the essentials of home styling, focusing on key elements like doors and floors to craft their own personal aesthetic. They began with the foundation—the floor—exploring a world of possibilities: from the warmth and natural beauty of wood to the luxury and elegance of marble and terrazzo. Resins, with their sleek simplicity, offered seamless continuity in design, while cement and decorative tiles provided a vibrant canvas for color and geometry. Each material was revealed to carry its own story and unique style.
The creative process didn’t end there. Participants then delved into the color palette, carefully studying how different shades and nuances can bring depth and energy to a space and transform it with dynamic, thoughtful touches.
Next came the moment for Dierre doors, powerful tools that shape the character of a home. Guests were encouraged to unleash their creativity, selecting from a wide range of Dierre designs. Doors have always been a key element in every home, starting with the front door, which sets the tone and reflects the home’s style and personality. Interior doors, with their various shapes and configurations, are crucial in conveying the desired atmosphere. Participants had the chance to choose the Dierre doors that best matched their needs and aesthetic preferences, with expert guidance from architect Nicoletta Carbotti:
- Concealed or flush doors seamlessly integrated into the wall are the best choice for a clean, technical look.
- For a softer, more decorative style, opt for prominent cornices, ashlars, or rounded moldings.
- A clean yet vibrant aesthetic can be achieved with lacquered doors in custom hues.
- For a geometric design, pantographed doors with decorative patterns are ideal.
- If you want to play with light, glass doors will be the perfect solution.
Participants didn’t stop at doors—they refined their home’s style in even greater detail, ultimately selecting the perfect handles that truly reflected their personality.
A presentation by Dierre’s Marketing Director, Laura De Robertis
At the workshop’s close, Dierre’s Marketing Director, Laura De Robertis, shared her insights on the importance of “aiming high” when designing a home’s style. She highlighted how investing in high-quality elements, such as Dierre doors, can elevate a space’s aesthetics and functionality. But “aiming high” today, she added, also means building a company that actively engages with social issues and prioritizes the well-being of its employees. Here is an excerpt from Laura De Robertis’ speech:
“Aiming high has always been essential for us.”
As a leader in the security door industry for nearly 50 years, we must constantly innovate and anticipate the technological evolution of our products well ahead of market demands. However, for our company, aiming high now encompasses much more. It involves a commitment to social issues and sustainable growth initiatives in developing countries, where we actively engage through our network.
The workshop aimed to convey that interior design transcends mere furniture and decoration; it’s about breathing life into a space that truly reflects our authentic essence. In this symphony of design, every choice serves as a note contributing to timeless harmony. The event offered inspiration, knowledge, and a renewed awareness of the creative freedom of designing living spaces.
Milan Design Week 2024 provided a remarkable opportunity to explore the vital role of structural elements in shaping a home’s style. Thanks to Dierre Porte and CasaFacile, participants discovered how crafting the perfect style for their home can be an exhilarating journey that begins with the foundation and unfolds through meticulous attention to detail.
